With over 15 years of experience in education, Gilda leverages her expertise to inform her counseling work with adolescents and to provide support for parents. She is also dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate their challenges through providing a compassionate and collaborative space for growth and healing.
Gilda views each individual as having unique and priceless value and is honored to be part of each client’s journey. Gilda believes strength, resilience, and growth are the rewards of those who dare to face and persevere through painful experiences on to healing. She is passionate about working with clients who experience trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and marital/relationship issues.

Approach to Counseling:
Gilda implements an eclectic attachment-based counseling approach to better adapt to each client’s needs. She draws from Somatic Psychology, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Strength-Based therapy models. Gilda is trained in S.A.F.E. EMDR, EMDR for Couples, EMDR for Children, Brainspotting Levels 1, 2, & 3, Trauma-Focused CBT, and the Prepare/Enrich premarital program.
